I joined Ego in 2008 as a Junior Sous Chef at Lichfield. Since then, I have had the most incredible journey, working alongside our Group Exec Chef Neil, working as a Head Chef for 4 years before then moving into an Area Chef role in March 2016. I now get to work on new site openings, menu development, recruitment and our all important training programme where we are constantly looking to help support, nurture and grow the best talent.
The best thing about working for Ego is the team culture. As a company they genuinely care for the staff, often going well over and above what would be expected of an employer. I feel empowered to make my own decisions and love being a part of the continued growth of the company. Everyone in the business works hard, regardless of their position of how long they have been a part of Ego. The culture of hard work flows through the whole business – top to bottom.
